Jay Rowe performs frequently at jazz festivals and clubs in the United States and globally as a headliner, Music Director and / or featured sideman to many notable acts. He also produces an annual “Smooth Jazz for Scholars” concert each April in Milford, Connecticut. The concert benefits music education in the Milford area and features some of the biggest names in the genre.

About Jay Rowe

 

Jay Rowe is a pianist and keyboard player from Milford Connecticut. For more than 20 years he has performed as a solo pianist and with other artists such as Nelson Rangell, Chieli Minucci & Special EFX, Marion Meadows, Angela Bofill, Ken Navarro, Phil Perry, the late Wayman Tisdale and Dotsero among many others. He attended the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music and is an avid supporter of music in schools.

 
 
 
I’m still a fan of smooth jazz and when I like something, I really like it. I get as excited about new music as when I was 3½. I feel fortunate that I haven’t gotten so jaded. Some musicians get really jaded and they lose that excitement, and I’ve never lost it.
